Support for this work was provided by The Women’s Advancement Initiative’s Dorothy Goodwin Scholars Program, which was made possible thanks to a generous bequest from Dorothy Goodwin. The Women’s Advancement Initiative at the University of Hartford is proud to continue the legacy of advancing each woman’s potential in the Hartford College for Women tradition.

Additionally, the initial research was conducted with the support of the 2023 Carnegie Whitney Grant sponsored by the American Library Association. In March 2023, this grant was awarded to Elizabeth Dill & Annmarie Magurany representing the University of Hartford's Harrison Libraries. In July 2023, Taylor St. Pierre assumed the responsibilities of Project Director on behalf of the Harrison Libraries. The Project Manager was Marcia Butler. Lead Researcher, Ayiana Crabtree, completed the "Mentoring 101" article, and Lead Annotator, Emily Humphrey annotated the resources included in this guide. Annmarie Magurany and Elizabeth Dill remained involved throughout as Project Advisors.
